Not only is Fount of Wisdom busy producing books. We are eager to help develop Cambodian authors and others involved in the publishing process. In this past year we have held four series of seminars: Graphic Design, Devotional Writing, Instructional Writing, and Translation. Starting in Sept 2009 some of these courses, as well as additional training courses, will be offered again.
Typically, these seminars include 8 days of full day instruction, spread out over several months. The cost is generally $50, which includes all materials, instruction, and meals. Most seminars are held right at Fount of Wisdom, but not exclusively…the devotional writing workshop was held in Battambang to accommodate potential writers in the Northwest.
Keeping to high professional standards, all of our courses are taught by experienced and skilled teachers. We are constantly seeking to meet the specific publishing needs of the Church in Cambodia. In the coming year we will be looking at the possibility of offering specific courses such as writing for children, writing for youth, short story writers and advanced translation skills, in addition to continuing our successful courses from the past.
