Description

Commentary on Romans (English)

Written by J. D. Crowley

In Cambodia, as in many other South East Asian countries, we have heard it said “Do good, get good; Do bad, get bad”. It is so familiar that most would have memorized it. The idea behind this saying is karma, which is to say, if someone does good, then he will receive good for this life, as well as for the life after. In other words, a person must first try very hard himself, then he will receive salvation. However, when we read the title of this book “Receive good, do good”, it arouses our curiosity as it is the reverse of the commonly known saying, “Do good, receive good”.

The book will provide a detailed answer to your question. It follows the two main divisions in the book of Romans, which is then sub-divided into three sections for the first part, and then five short chapters for the second part. “Receive good, do good” is a book useful for pastors, church leaders or those who want to go deeper and gain better understanding of the book of Romans.
