Love and Marriage
Written by Mr. Uon Seila
“Will or Won’t” (translated as “Deal or No Deal” in English) is the name of a Khmer television program that many have watched. In it, “I will” is used to mean agree or accept, while “I won’t” means that they don’t agree or will not accept. “I will!” But about what? How about when a man confesses his love to a woman that he loves, and she replies “I will”? How exciting! This book entitled “Love and Marriage” (“I will” in Khmer), authored by Mr Oun Seila shows clearly that before saying “I will”, there must be careful consideration, and questions like “What should we do? How should we act? In what ways?” should be asked. This applies to after marriage too.
In addition, this book also teaches on customs, traditions and practices that the man and the woman can agree on as they move towards marriage; and it also explains the importance of their submission to one another, and also when relating with relatives.
